Flat winner Mash Potato is now trained in Ireland but is a frequent visitor to these shores. However, he’s only been placed twice in 11 starts over hurdles, though was ahead of Leicester winner Aza Run at Sedgefield last time. Grand March, Back To Balloo and Peppay Le Pugh are all capable of taking a hand in the finish if in the mood but Ayr runner-up The Pierre Lark turned in a shocker later at Newcastle. ENDEAVOR has been a terrific flag-bearer for Dianne Sayer, winning 17 of his 108 races for the yard. He’s in the veteran stage now but has dropped to a very fair mark and this is just the type of race in which he could bounce back.
