Verdict

BUTTERCUP was never travelling at any stage at Haydock 10 days ago but she kept responding to Liam Treadwell’s urgings and got on top close home to complete her hat-trick. Another 6lb is obviously a concern but she’s already proving a much better chaser than hurdler and there are also question marks hanging over her rivals. Greybougg has been thereabouts lately but is possibly still a few pounds too high. Allbarnone’s second at Doncaster is hard to evaluate as the rider of the winner dropped his whip and Palm Grey has lost his way a little lately. Allthegear No Idea wasn’t beaten far at Leicester last month but a 7lb rise for that looks harsh.
