This is another tough handicap-chase with a number of runners in with chances; Young Lorcan, Dead Mans Dante and Kercabellec are noted with Kercabellec our choice. He gets in here with a seven pound penalty for his recent Market Rasen win but he could be running off a much higher mark in the future he may be one step ahead of the handicapper. That race was not a strong looking race on paper but he won it well and is our selection to follow up here. Young Lorcan comes here looking to complete a three-timer and he is entitled to respect on the basis of his recent course win in heavy ground. He is only four pound higher and it would be no surprise to see him follow up here but he is likely to go off at a short-price and others make more appeal at bigger prices. One of those is likely to be Dead Mans Dante who represents the in-form Ferdy Murphy yard. He has won off a higher mark than this before and his second in heavy ground at Newcastle may be a sign that he is bouncing back to form. There are plenty in with chances but we will stick with Kercabellec.
