In depth

Verdict

This is much more competitive than the mares' maiden. Bal De Rio is penalised for three all-weather victories but has been runner-up eight times over timber. Goodbye Someday caught the eye of the stewards after his run at Tipperary though was found to have breathing problems post-race. He's capable of further progress and looks certain to go well. PREMIUM PACKAGE, an impressive winner between the flags in May last year, made a very encouraging hurdling debut over this trip at Roscommon and can go one better. He was only caught by Ran Rite close home and the latter had much more experience. Wings Of Destiny has shown potential in bumpers while Desert Island, who is bred to win a Derby, was in the lead at this trip before being run out of it by Skyace over 3m at Tipperary.
