In depth

Verdict

Poker D'Ainay didn’t give his true running at Galway and has the highest rating of these. But the weights suggest there is nothing between Willie Mullins’ charge and Downpatrick winner GAME PRESENT, who will again have the advantage of Hugh Morgan’s 7lb claim. Denis Hogan’s pair Generator City and Al Sakb both won their penultimate outing as did Gordon Elliott’s mare Amor Verdadero, though the latter was then a disappointing favourite in a novices’ handicap at Sligo.
