ZAGELLE had shown nothing before a much-improved run at Kilbeggan where he was beaten less than a length behind The Scourge. He looks certain to make further progress and is given the nod. Spicy Fruity looks likely to be suited by further in time and ran over 2m6f at Cartmel in June. Wexford Bridge looked an improved type last autumn when runner-up at Limerick and, though returning from a long break, is one to keep an eye on as he hasn't had much racing for a nine-year-old. Killiney Court ran poorly at Ballinrobe in May but that was his first start since January and the form he showed last summer would be good enough to get into contention.
