        Verdict

        Carcharias is a half-brother to two winners and preferred to Shaiyem of the newcomers in this. Poet's Beauty had Lady Fontenail behind when staying on late over 6f at Salisbury and seems sure to be suited by this extra furlong. GRACIOUS JOHN drops down a furlong after his debut third at Lingfield but he would probably have won that day had he not blown the start and can gain compensation here. Touch Of Color hinted at ability at Ascot last month and looks the pick of the remainder.
