A tight looking event in which Mary James makes her handicap debut from a lowly mark. John Oxx' filly may have more to give though she didn't impress when third in a poor maiden at Sligo last time. City Line had shown virtually nothing before landing a Sligo handicap last week but the combination of a 9lbs rise plus much faster conditions may prove too much to handle though he had Gypsy Rose a long way behind. Peccatorum was tried over hurdles at Roscommon but had shown ability on the level previously and should go well but WHITEHEAD LAD looks the one to be on. Having his first start since last August at Roscommon a month ago, he ran very well to finish third behind Humor Me Rene and with that under his belt can make the necessary progress to take this.
