VINNIE, an easy maiden winner here last April, was returning from a long break when catching the eye behind Old Theatre Royal at Ballinrobe last month and showed the benefit when reversing the form with the winner 10 days later at Sligo. A 6lbs penalty doesn't look enough to halt his progress and he can follow up. Trikirk also caught the eye in that Ballinrobe event, staying on from the rear to finish just over two lengths behind the selection. He should get even closer this time though he was fit from racing on the Flat. Winning point-to-pointer Loch Na Beaste has been finding the ground much too fast this summer but would prefer further than this, a remark that also applies to Locky, who looked very one-paced at Clonmel last time.
