In depth

Verdict

A lowly Tramore maiden wouldn't have been the preferred option when ALAYIR was bred as his pedigree is all class. He's obviously nowhere near as good as some of his illustrious relatives but his form to date suggests he should be too strong for these rivals. Bo Hengy was a 50/1 chance when running a big race behind Nantucket Bay at Navan and any further improvement would make him a major threat while Walking On Water, who has shown promise over a mile, will almost certainly be suited by this big step-up in trip as he's by Galileo out of a half-sister to High Chaparral.
