Knockeenonthedoor went well for a long way before fading and falling at the last at Navan and can go well if none the worse. Great Span looked as though he was suited by the longer trip when a good fourth behind Murchu at Limerick on Monday while winning point-to-pointer Tabhachtach is another likely to be suited by further in time, though he's done well in both starts to date over the minimum trip. SCOTS GAELIC is penalised for a victory on the Flat in August but his second to Cash And Go over timber at Wexford in October could hardly have been better advertised when the winner landed a Grade 1at Leopardstown last week. Patrick Flynn's charge looks ready to gain his first success over hurdles before going on to better things.
