Verdict
GOLDEN CALL landed the odds as expected when running out an easy winner at Southwell in November. He should have no trouble shrugging off a penalty here and Donald McCain's charge is preferred to South Leinster. The latter has posted a couple of seconds at Newcastle recently and looks the one most likely to chase home the selection. Point-to-point winner Rudemeister had shown some promise before clipping heels and falling in a bumper at Ayr back in April and has his first outing since, while Mitchell's Way makes his hurdling debut on the back of three modest efforts in bumpers.
