Ballygalley Bob stayed on well in winning at Lingfield last time and after a 9lb rise he will need to be even better up this hill today, and as a result we will oppose him with Peter Bowen-trained Amazing Valour. The selection acts on any ground and appreciates a decent test over this sort of trip or beyond. The yard has not had lots of runners recently but Serabad's effort at Cheltenham on Saturday suggests that they are in good enough form and now this one is back below his winning mark he can come good again. Ballygalley Bob is lightly raced and that Lingfield win was his chase debut so it is fair to say that there is probably a bit more to come but Towcester races do not often work out as they might look on paper. Squires Lane should be a fair bit better for his return from a lengthy absence at Wincanton earlier in the month and on his best form he'd have a definite chance if he can fence more efficiently. Julius does not look in great form at the moment and Carry Duff looks a better option on ground he will enjoy after a decent effort at Sedgefield last time. Not a race to get too heavily involved in financially and we'll take a chance on Amazing Valour.
