Division One of the novices hurdle looks to be between ANOTHER BROTHER, On Spec and Nulato, and from that shortlist we'll side with the first-named. Jonjo O'Neill's six-year-old justified joint favouritism last time out at Uttoxeter to break his maiden in what was pretty soft going, over a similar trip. He certainly won't mind if there's some cut in the ground following the forecast rain on Saturday. He has to defy joint top weight, but he's not giving that much away. On Spec was second in a similar contest, albeit over just 2 miles last time out. Nigel Twiston-Davies knows how to get them ready for this particular contest, having won it 3 times in the last 5 years. Alan King's Nulato won here in January in heavy going, and makes his seasonal debut. It's also his first time over hurdles after running previously in bumpers, and a step up in distance. It looks like it'll be competitive at the top end of the market, and we'll side with Another Brother.
