In depth

Verdict

SHAKE THE BARLEY can continue his modest progression up the chasing ranks; Thai Vango and Salsero may emerge as the biggest threats. Tom George has been enjoying a fine run of form and this fellow contributed to that when scoring in fine style at Lingfield. That was just his second chase start and he had also run well enough on his debut until one mistake put him out of the race. He showed no ill effects at Lingfield and should be hard to beat here. Salsero has had just the one chase start and may be able to build on that but Thai Vango has more obvious claims following his second place at Huntingdon. This trip on a stiff track could prove to be his optimum conditions. Ya I Know ran well enough here on his penultimate start to be considered but has to put a poor run behind him and will do well to get the better of Shake The Barley.
