Pret A Thou is better known as a chaser but successfully blazed a trail over hurdles at Uttoxeter in November and will handle the soft ground better than most. French import Old Way showed enough on his debut in this country at Taunton to suggest he'll find a small race somewhere, while former Marcus Tregoning inmate Ezdiyaad is probably capable of better than he's shown so far. But this can go to COOLBEG, who followed up a one-paced fourth in a Bangor bumper with a better effort over hurdles at Uttoxeter. His undoubted stamina should be an asset around here.
