Despite having to shoulder a penalty, Unjust Law looks the one to beat, with Mars Rock, Zanzibar Boy, Hot Rod and Witness Run worth a small mention. Nicky Henderson was in great form last week and will hopefully carry on the good work here with Unjust Law who should really have added to his hurdles haul at Bangor last month. Mistakes at each of the final two flights cost him dearly that day, and he gave the impression that he would also benefit from being waited with. Tom Greenall has ridden him on all five outings so far, and the five-year-old should prove too classy for his rivals here. Like the selection, Mars Rock has picked up a couple of bumper victories, and was highly tried in Listed company at Cheltenham in November. He shaped well when second at Taunton on his timber bow and should give another good account. Zanzibar Boy looks destined to go chasing sooner rather than later, while Hot Rod is surely better than he showed when pulled up on his debut at Hereford recently. The market should be noted as regards the two Nick Gifford runners Sister Grace and Witness Run, but Leighton Aspell is on the latter, while Timmy Murphy gets the leg up on Reflector, another chaser in the making. All will be found opportunities in the future, but for now we much prefer the claims of Unjust Law.
