In depth

Verdict

Its quite simple really, Petite Margot is the best of this lot from all known form and provided she jumps round she should win, with Green 'N' Gold and Time For Perks others to consider. The selection makes her chasing debut here and takes a drop in class to do so. These mares only contests do not often take much winning, she will have been well schooled and her yard are going well, and Richard Johnson can nurse her home to victory. The others look ordinary at best, though Green 'N' Gold could be the one for the forecast. Donald McCain's mare enjoys cut and was a winner off 100 over hurdles, so provided she takes well to fences then she can get involved at the business end. Little else makes any appeal with perhaps the exception of Time For Perks. This is her racecourse debut but she was reportedly unlucky not to win in two point to point starts last year and clearly has some ability, so she can't be ruled out. However, Petite margot has proved herself on the racecourse and is taken to score.
