Maybeseven won for the first time in three years when landing a distinctly weak handicap at Towcester earlier this month and may find this more competitive so preference is for Alfred The Grey, who gets the vote ahead of Follow The Flow. The last mentioned finally opened his account when taking a three-runner contest at Warwick last time for which the handicapper has only raised him 1lb. Now that he has won a race, it may be that Philip Pritchard's gelding can run up a sequence but the chances are that the handicapper just about has his measure, as the eight-year-old has been a consistent performer. Top weight Nordic Prince has claims on his best form if fit enough for his reappearance, while Autumn Mist could probably do with being dropped a couple of pounds. Regal River has failed to complete in six starts since winning at Leicester in January last year, while both Starshipenterprise and Ballybay Demense have given little sign of encouragement of late. The vote then goes to Gary Moore's Alfred The Grey, who has run well in better races than this previously this term and a reproduction of his second to Tudor King may suffice.
