Verdict

FRENCH LEAVE looked to be on the way back when third over C&D last month. Victor Dartnall's nine-year-old is likely to get the strong pace he needs in this and can return to winning ways at the main expense of the mare Golden Button, who was well supported at Southwell last time but remains a maiden over hurdles. Mossmann Gorge has fallen to a decent mark and could make his presence felt but veteran Ton-Chee is likely to find at least one too good again and novice Edgebury needs to improve on what he's shown so far.
