Novabridge won over this C&D on his debut last year and subsequently landed a seller on fast ground at Redcar. With Kieren Fallon doing the steering, Andrew Haynes' gelding is an obvious starting point in this modest opener but hasn't raced since September last year so AROWANA may represent better value. The Kodiac filly is still a maiden but was placed a couple of times in stronger company last year and has been running a little better than recent form figures suggest on the all-weather over the winter. The others are hard to fancy but first-time blinkers could improve Magical Star, fifth over 7f here last week.
