An awful contest where very few make any appeal and we will side with Euradream to see off The Bar Maid and Sargasso Sea. The selection has taken a few runs to come to hand, but did so last time at Wincanton when staying on well for second place behind Avas Delight. The manner of his run suggested that he was crying out for further, and this extra half mile will be much more suitable. He also showed at Wincanton that he does not mind some cut, so he is our choice here. The Bar Maid has course and distance experience under her belt, having finished runner-up here twice. By Alderbrook, she will probably be better still on this soft ground but she will probably have to settle for a place once again. Of the others, Sargasso Sea makes some appeal if you look back as far as his soft ground bumper win at Wincanton last year, and that would be good enough to give him a squeak in such a moderate affair as this, but he is not in great from at present and a win would be a bit of a surprise. The selection then, is Euradream.
