Verdict

It was slightly surprising to see Ar Muin Na Muice beaten on her chasing debut but she can make amends here by beating Monger Lane. Jonjo O'Neill's very likeable mare has won six of her ten races, which includes the final of a valuable handicap hurdle at Newbury last spring. Just touched off by Rum Pointer on her debut at Uttoxeter, she can make amends today before going on to better things. Monger Lane was decent over hurdles, winning at Newbury and Cheltenham from a ratings high of 109 and, lightly raced, is the one most likely to take advantage of an off-day from Ar Muin Na Muice. Cyanara is the most experienced of these over the larger obstacles but it will disappointing, once again, if Ar Muin Na Muice cannot see her off. Therefore, we'll work on the principle that it is supporters of Jonjo O'Neill who will be riding on the pig's back after this race.
