In depth

Verdict

Double Eagle gets the confident vote here with Herecomestanley and Hill Forts Timmy rating the main dangers. The selection was a fair second in a grade 3 race behind Alberta's Run last time out. That form looks solid. He remains on a fair mark and if fit after a 243 day break he will be hard to beat. Herecomestanley rates the main danger, he has won his last two races with a little in hand noticeably when beating Dasher Reilly last time out. However the handicapper now looks to have had his say and he is taken on with this in mind. Hill Forts Timmy was all out when beating Top Trees last time out but looks vulnerable under his penalty. Ask The Gatherer is well weighted on his best form but the suspicion is he may need the run after a 601 day break. Give Me A Dime beat Waltham Abbey last time and is another with place claims especially as he should be suited by this longer trip. Of the remainder Thenameescapesme is game and consistent and is sure to run his race but he is hard to win with and with this in mind for the winner we return to the unexposed Double Eagle.
