Dermot Weld won this three times in succession before last year and has two entered this time. Yulong Gold Fairy looks best of the pair at this stage having run well in the Irish 1000 Guineas before landing a Galway Listed contest. She still has the scope to make further progress though was behind Could It Be Love in the Curragh classic. The latter hasn't gone on as expected and has been a beaten favourite in her last three starts but she's probably been feeling the very fast ground and today's conditions should see her make a bold bid to gain her first success on Turf. Her stable companion I CAN FLY was a length behind Yulong Gold Fairy at Galway but that was her first start for over a year and she showed the benefit with an impressive Listed victory at Killarney. She looks the type to go on to better things and gets the nod. Lightening Quick is already a winner at this level as is Mick Channon's Dan's Dream, who will appreciate having some cut in the ground.
