In depth

Verdict

Amalfi Coast made all and battled on when challenged for a head victory at Cork then didn't really get the run of the race in the Windsor Castle at Ascot. Up Above didn't quite get home over 6f at the Curragh on Friday but Cherry Bloom stayed on strongly to lead inside the final furlong over this trip at Down Royal. Harmony Rose has been placed twice here and scored at Cork. She never got close in the Queen Mary at Ascot but will find this more to her liking. Keith Dalgleish sends Misty Ayr from the UK and she ran a fine race in the Queen Mary, showing up well throughout and keeping on. She should make a bold bid but SACRED BRIDGE was impressive at Naas a week ago and has more scope than any of these rivals so gets the nod.
