In depth

Verdict

Harbour Approach started a short-priced favourite on his debut on heavy going at Listowel but was put in his place by Tonkin, who won easily. Theotonius is by Teofilo and should be suited by the trip but could have been found an easier opportunity in a race where Aidan O'Brien has three entries. SARACEN KNIGHT didn't get the clearest of runs on his debut behind Sunday's impressive Beresford winner Saxon Warrior at the Curragh where he looked in need of experience. He's entered in the Racing Post Trophy and should take this before heading to Doncaster. Spanish Point made a promising start behind Gobi Desert at the Curragh and will have come on a bundle as will the Frankel colt Zabriskie, who wasn't far behind.
