Verdict

It's difficult to know what to make of Prince Connoisseur, who came in for sustained support when making his debut at Dundalk in January. Several of his better fancied rivals were withdrawn and he was left to beat two moderate rivals and hasn't been seen since. He'll be up for this but faces a tough opponent in CHICLET, who can finally get off the mark. Tracey Collins' filly led until caught in the dying strides by Amygdala over 6f at Cork last time and will take some catching here. Mr Good Guy, who was around 6l behind, didn't enjoy the best of runs and should get closer without reversing the form while Blueberry Gal had every chance and just wasn't quick enough. Pirita made a promising debut a year ago and returned from a very long absence to land a Down Royal maiden last month so it was disappointing to see her beaten a long way at Navan a fortnight later.
