Verdict

An interesting bumper with the three penalised runners all looking smart. Fabulous Saga easily landed a 2m2f event here in May but didn't run up to that sort of form when tried over 2m4f at Listowel where he could only stay on at one pace when passed. PASS HYMN was always travelling like a winner at Wexford and would have won more easily but for showing signs of inexperience. He gets the nod as though Thermistocles also showed signs of greenness before powering away at Roscommon that was over 2m4f and this could be on the short side. Jamie Codd's presence on board Jack Wade suggests the four-year-old, who is out of a Flat winner, could be decent while Gordon Elliott's mare Kala Minstrel is a full-sister to a winning bumper.
