Verdict
There was plenty of support for the superbly-bred ALAIA when she made her racecourse bow at Gowan earlier this month but she looked in need of the experience and could only finish third behind Barbadine. With that under her belt she should take some beating and her Group entries suggest the daughter of Sinndar is held in some regard. It will be a disappointment to connections if she can't beat Prayer Boat, who has run some decent races but is still a maiden after 14 starts. Maunsells Duke didn't show much on his debut at Cork in August and though Seven Summits looks certain to make progress this season she has no fancy entries and may do better over longer trips.
