Verdict

Macs Mandalus is probably unfortunate to still be a maiden over fences though his jumping leaves something to be desired at times. Ballymac Beauty has produced some decent runs over the bigger obstacles but was beaten when odds-on at Listowel last time and this looks tougher. GLENSTAL ABBEY was a useful novice hurdler last year who should make a chaser. He would probably prefer some rain but has the ability to land a contest of this nature. The progressive Rare Commodity, who has been transformed by fast ground over timber recently and would have a chance providing there isn't too much rain.
