A Mere Bagatelle lost his maiden tag over timber at Cartmel and makes his debut over fences from what looks a fair mark. General Clermont is 0-19 and hasn't shown much in three starts over fences but REBELLIOUS GALE came good over hurdles at Limerick and his breeding suggests he'll do even better over the bigger obstacles. The veteran Bilbo Bagins ran poorly at Tramore after a much better run at Limerick earlier which would put him in the picture. Zalika looks best of the rest.
