In depth

Verdict

Qasser has been going well enough to pick up a race before long and he acts on the ground as he proved with a very good run at the Curragh in May. He's had a break and could just need the run while Diamond Daze can't get his head in front and will be having his 15th start. There are several very interesting entries from major yards for this very modest prize and Ballydoyle's SIDEREUS NUNCIUS is the one chosen to make a winning start. He's a son of Galileo and closely related to a host of useful winners so can make a belated successful debut. Jim Bolger's Ferrycarrig is another well-connected type being related to several useful winners from the yard including Cuis Ghaire, while Dermot Weld's Instruct is out of a high-class mare who won in France and the USA.
