St Maxime made a promising start behind Chiltern Hills at Wexford and though the winner has been beaten subsequently Edward O'Grady's filly will improve for the experience and gets plenty of weight from her two main rivals. Glens Melody made a winning debut in a huge field at Punchestown before a comfortable victory when odds-on at Sligo. There's more to come from him and he's an obvious threat to SUMMER STAR, who is handed the vote. Ted Walsh's filly completed a double when landing a Listed contest at Limerick and was nowhere near that level of form when well beaten in the champion bumper at Punchestown on very heavy ground.
