Verdict

DOS PICAS gained a comfortable victory at Roscommon and though not quite able to hold off Miss Eyecatcher at Listowel the winner was completing a hat-trick so it was an excellent performance. He should have too much class for Mountain Rock, whose victories at Killarney and Galway came on much quicker ground. Sillogue Pio gained a surprise-but-comfortable victory at Clonmel but takes on much stronger rivals and Cork winner Dr Mikey will find it tough conceding weight to the selection.
