In depth

Verdict

Jon Riggens had Roses Blue and Shelly Banks behind when runner-up at Cork, a massive improvement from his debut. He kept on very strongly that day and should have few problems confirming the form. SWIFT FLIGHT dropped down from 7f to an extended 5f at Navan and was caught on the line after leading just inside the final furlong. Ken Condon's grey can go one better though the hugely expensive Blue Planet, placed on his debut at Dundalk in October, started favourite on his reappearance at the Curragh and will surely be expected to do better.
