Jolily, runner-up in this over slightly shorter a year ago, went one better on his next start but is now 10lb higher. He was just behind prolific point-to-point winner Annacarton here last time though both were racing over a trip well short of their best. Steady Ed, a winner between the flags, showed only moderate form over fences last season but improved massively to land a maiden hurdle at Limerick earlier this month. He reverts to chasing on a very lowly mark so has to be a threat to all. SAOIRSE DUN has had very little experience but looked a promising staying chaser when coming from a long way back to land a novice handicap at Naas three weeks ago. He'll appreciate stepping up in trip and though 11lb higher is expected to complete the double. Ponmeword is still a maiden over fences after a dozen starts but is handicapped accordingly and is likely to be thereabouts.
