Black Ice showed his liking for the conditions when scoring over a longer trip at Limerick, when Duty Dance stayed on into third, but couldn't quite repeat the effort after a 6lb rise at Tramore. SPACIOUS SKY has run some excellent races on the Flat and over timber so it's a surprise that his strike-rate is 2-27. A close second in the November Handicap at Leopardstown, he ran well enough over timber back there on St Stephen's Day to suggest it's his turn under Ruby Walsh here. Indian Rupee ran very well when third at Punchestown in November so it was no surprise that he won there on New Year's Eve. He's been hit with a 9lb rise but David Mullins' claim takes care of most of the extra and another big run is expected. Thepartysover is the only course and distance winner in the line-up and should be going in again before too long.
