CLOSE SHAVE showed the benefit of his opening run over fences when chasing home Calino D'airy at Galway and can go one better. He was beaten around seven lengths by Bilbo Bagins over hurdles at Navan in March but was conceding 11lb and his experience should enable him to turn the tables. Colin Bowe does well with point-to-pointers and three-times winner Lacken Bridge is one to note as is Steamboat Quay, who has always looked a chaser in the making. The latter's stable companion Carrig Cathal won between the flags and scored three times over hurdles so he's another to keep an eye on as is De Name Escapes Me, who had some strong form a couple of years ago and hasn't had much racing subsequently.
