PEREGRINE RUN was in brilliant form during the summer, completing a four-timer over fences before scoring over hurdles at Cork. An excellent fourth in the Galway Plate, he then finished second in a Grade 2 chase at Gowran and his quality can see him home. Elwood didn't have much chance against Quartz Du Rheu at Downpatrick and will need to find more against the selection but another chaser, Westland Row, scored over hurdles at Kilbeggan in August and looks a threat. Chateau Conti has never progressed from his bumper form while Supreme Vinnie has been in poor form.
