SCARPETA has to concede weight all round thanks to his two hurdles victories, the latest when easily accounting for Robbin'hannon at Clonmel in December. He never really showed in the Coral Cup at Cheltenham but will have found the trip too short and the company too hot. Peregrine Run has been chasing, winning a Listed race at Wexford in October. He completed a four-timer over hurdles in 2016 so has to be greatly respected. Prince Of Scars won the Grade 1 Christmas Hurdle at Leopardstown in 2015 before going chasing where he performed at a high level but never won. He returned after a long break over hurdles at Gowran in January but finished a long way behind Presenting Percy. Sandymount Duke is yet another better known for his chasing exploits recently though he did run over timber at Naas a couple of weeks ago when well beaten.
