Verdict

Grade 3 winning hurdler Kate Appleby Shoes made a successful debut over fences at Limerick but found Grade 2 company much too strong here last month and this is more like her class. MAGIC OF LIGHT finished in front of her in that latter event but had earlier been beaten six lengths by Youcantcallherthat at Fairyhouse. However, she was conceding 5lb that day and gets 3lb here so she's expected to reverse the form and take this. West Bridge and Jennys Melody fought out a finish at Fairyhouse a fortnight ago and there's nothing between them though the winner was behind Kate Appleby Shoes at Limerick. Routes Choice has been running in handicaps and has more experience than her rivals which could count in a war of attrition.
