Verdict

Jetz carries the maximum penalty for landing a Grade 3 at Navan in March after which he didn't distinguish himself. Mala Beach, who pulled up in the Grand National, arrives in good shape having won easily between the flags at Dromahane but Oh Me Oh My isn't up to this level. Balko Des Flos had five runs last season, all at Grade 1 level, as were his three previous runs including the Ryanair at Cheltenham where he beat the odds-on Un De Sceaux. He hasn't really lived up to that promise and disappointed in last month's reappearance at Punchestown. FOOTPAD was unbeaten in a brilliant novice campaign which included four Grade 1's. Runner-up to Simply Ned in another Grade 1 at Leopardstown in December, he started favourite for last season's Ryanair but broke a blood vessel. Hopefully he'll get back to his best in which case he should win this.
