CAMELIA DE COTTE has only been beaten once in five starts over fences when making a bad mistake at Tipperary. She made all for a comprehensive victory in a Cork Grade 3 last time and this slight step-up in grade shouldn't pose a problem. She was conceding 7lb when beating Ellie Mac comfortably at Listowel in September and should have the edge again. Her former stable companion Meri Devie made a successful chasing debut at Naas where she was left clear when a close rival fell at the last. She had Grey Waters 13l behind so should have no problems with that one while the remainder have plenty to find. Nellie Pledge was engaged at Navan yesterday.

Ellie Mac (IRE) 12-1 (11-5) Soon detached in rear and pushed along at stages, never a factor, kept on same pace without threatening from 2 out, last of 6, 16 3/4l behind Le Richebourg (11-12) at Leopardstown 2m 1f (1) gd in Dec.
Meri Devie (FR) 5-2 (11-7) Held up in 5th, took keen hold early, headway into 2nd travelling well 2 out, improved to lead after 2 out, pushed along and every chance when left clear at last, stayed on run-in, comfortably, won at Naas 2m Good - Yielding in Jan beating Grey Waters (11-1) by 13l, 6 ran.
