Jack Foley is starting to make a name for himself and John Kiely has snapped him up for Erins Benefit, a winning bumper and placed in all three starts over timber though a bit disappointing here a fortnight ago. Western Boy has run in much better company over the years and won from higher marks. He scored on the Flat during the summer but those who saw Sullane Hill make all for a comfortable victory here two weeks ago won't want to miss him here as a 7lb rise doesn't look excessive. However, OPTUM (NAP) was making his handicap debut at Fairyhouse last week and made most until collared on the line. Denis O'Regan takes over from an amateur and his mount can go one better. Fou Diligence showed some potential last season and will be better for a recent run at Roscommon.
