Verdict

Sayce Gold, a winning point-to-pointer, is carrying a penalty for a comfortable bumper victory at Fairyhouse though she should be much better suited by this stiffer test of stamina. Miss Pernickety was narrowly beaten in a 2m5f Limerick maiden but didn't appear suited by heavy going in her next two starts. She wouldn't want more rain and SOVEREIGN GOLD looks a better option. A dual point-to-point winner earlier this year, she made a couple of novicey mistakes on her hurdling debut over this trip at Ballinrobe and should have come on a bundle for the experience. Ciao Bella made a very encouraging hurdling debut when staying on behind the odds-on Majestic Maid over 2m4f at Cork and looks a major threat.
