Glenturn has had very little racing over the past couple of years so his second behind Rebel Rock at Uttoxeter in November was a creditable effort and he should begin to make progress. Congenial Gent scored between the flags in October and reverted to Rules with a good run behind QUARRYVALE over the C&D the following month. He can get competitive but was a long way behind the winner, who should have few problems confirming the form. Jimmy Mangan's charge has since finished around six lengths behind Burnt Oil Babe over 2m5f at Tramore but the combination of the winner's penalty and a longer trip can help him turn the tables and take this. Bonoman didn't appear to enjoy the very testing ground at Fairyhouse last time and the going may prove too sticky for him.
