In depth

Verdict

Otay Kawn has run in six chases, falling in two and jumping poorly in another two. He was a progressive hurdler and if Willie Mullins has sorted out his jumping he should go well, though Paul Townend has elected to ride stablemate For The Staff, a dual winning hurdler who makes his debut over the bigger obstacles. Ballyvoile ran well behind Elysian Rock at Cork in November, only his second start over fences, but this can go to ARABELLA BOY, was the best of these over timber with his second to Rigour Back Bob in a Punchestown Grade 3 being a particularly good effort. He attempted to make all on the same track over fences last time and was only caught at the last by Magnanimity, form that gives him the edge here.
