Verdict
Despite the big field, PYRUS GOLD WIND looks a stand-out bet on his three runs over hurdles. Twice runner-up and likely to fill that position when falling at the last in the race won by Mad Brian at Navan, the quicker ground should suit and there's little in the way of opposition. Count Brando was nowhere near his best on his reappearance in a Navan bumper last month and the winning point-to-pointer can do much better than that while Kincora showed some promise at Cork last month and will have come on for the run. Moyne Nineoseven showed the occasional sign of promise in bumpers though his two runs over timber have been moderate.
