This is a wide open handicap and many would have chances on their best form, but Torrent, Sabana, Redoubtable and Beyond Calculation look to be the principles and the vote is given to Torrent. The selection is a course and distance winner and he confirmed his well-being with a really good effort when a close 7th behind Fairgame Man at Beverely last time. He is well drawn here and with a decent lady jockey in the plate he looks the one to beat. Sabana is another in good heart at present but he has it all to do here from his low draw and for that reason is passed over. Redoubtable also has plenty to do from his draw but he is a prolific winner so can not be ruled out easily. Beyond Calculation ran well behind Roxanne Mill last time but the suspicion is that he is better over shorter and for that reason he is passed over. African Spur hinted at a return to form last time and is well drawn so looks to have decent place claims, while Danakim is well drawn and has the services of Carol Williams so should go well. However, in a wide open affair we will side with Torrent as our selection.
